Mrs. Helen L. (Beard) Crandall, of Raynham, found her way to Heaven after a long, courageous battle with lung disease on Monday, November 26. She is survived by her longtime partner and husband, Brian E. Crandall, who loved and cherished her. She was born on June 22, 1944 in Middleboro, the daughter of the late Tom and Julia (Sampson) Beard. She was educated in Middleboro and had been a Taunton and Raynham resident for the past 25 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a proofreader for the Ad-A-Day/CarCross Company in Taunton for over thirty years. Helen enjoyed bowling, whale watching trips, fishing with her husband, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 daughter: Michelle Noyes and her husband, Paul of Barrington, N.H.; 2 stepchildren: Kate McLean and her husband, Richie of Marlton, N.J., and John L. Pike of Manomet; 1 brother: John Morelli of Freetown; her beloved grandchildren: Carrie Noyes of Milton, N.H., and Andrew Noyes of Barrington, N.H.; her great granddaughter: Emily Tallard of Milton, N.H., and a special niece and nephew: Pam Bjorkman and Scott Winslow, both of Middleboro. Helen was predeceased by her parents, her sister Martha Borden, brothers Jim Beard and Peter Morelli, and a beloved grandson, Paul Noyes, Jr.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Friday, November 30 at 11:00 A.M. A Graveside Service will follow at the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
