PIERCE, Marietta “Rita”, 77, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2012. She was born in Burkesville, KY on December 12, 1934. Rita loved her family and the Lord. She was a lifetime member of Chapel Park Baptist Church in Shively, Ky. She will be missed by all she touched.
Rita is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Everett Pierce.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Pierce (Pamela) of Cary, NC and David Pierce (Paula) of Louisville. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lissa), David (Amanda), Madison, Olivia, and Bradley Pierce; and one great grandson, Conner Pierce.
Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Tuesday 10am until the service at 1pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hosparus of Louisville and Chapel Park Baptist Church, 2600 Dixie Highway.
