Miss Rosalie Clement, age 81 of Somerville died Wednesday Nov. 21 in Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.
Miss. Clement was born in Haiti, daughter of the late Nerva and Elisanne (Dade) Clement. She was educated in Haiti and emigrated to Puerto Rico in 1968. She came to the U.S. in 1975 and settled in Cambridge. She had been a Somerville resident since 1987.
In earlier years Miss Clement was a member of the housekeeping staff at the Spaulding Hospital in Boston. She was a quiet, family minded woman who enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by two sons: Jean Y. Clement and his wife Maria (Gomez) of Plymouth and Michel Payen and his wife Yanique of Medford. Beloved grandmother of Nicole Clement of Plymouth, Shayanne and Kayla Payen both of Medford. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Monday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Monday at 10:00 am.
Services will conclude with Interment at 1:00pm in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth . In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosalie’s name may be sent to The Leukemia Society, Massachusetts Chapter, 495 Old Connecticut Path, Suite 220, Framingham, MA 01701
