Frank H. DeLucia, a long-time Medford resident died peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 90.
Frank was born and raised in Boston, the son of the late Rocco and the late Carminella (Coletta) DeLucia. Frank enlisted in the Navy during World War II and served in the aviation wing of the Navy. There he was called upon to use his technical abilities to do delicate repairs to naval airplanes. After his discharge he settled in Medford where he and his wife Thelma (of 65 years) settled and raised their sons. Frank worked as a superintendent for Massachusetts Highways Division. A member of the Arlington Retired Men’s Club and a devout parishioner of St. Joseph’s, Frank was devoted to his family: his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, siblings and a dear friend and neighbor to many.
The beloved husband of Thelma (DiCio), he was a devoted father to Ronald DeLucia and his longtime companion Joanne MacIsaac of Medford, Allan DeLucia and his wife Deborah of Burlington. A loving grandfather to Elyse and her fiancé Stephen Vidoli, dear step-grandfather to Brandon and Sean Daly Frank was predeceased by his siblings Joseph, Anna and Eleanor DeLucia.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Saturday, November 24th at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM.
