CONSTANCE (WEST) CONNOLLY, of Hingham, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18th, 2012 after a long battle with myelodysplastic Syndrome, a bone marrow disease.
Wife of the late James E. Connolly she is survived by her son James M. Connolly of Hingham, three adored grandchildren; Jesse Connolly of California, Kyra Edwards of E. Sandwich and Hannah Connolly of New Jersey, and a precious great granddaughter, Dahlia Edwards of E. Sandwich. Also survived by her sister, Miriam Grondin of Braintree and several nieces and nephews.
Connie moved to Hingham in 1965 and worked at a local florist's greenhouse as a floral designer for 8 years. She also worked at Star Market as floral designer for 37 years. Connie was approved by the state to teach rug braiding and floral design for the state adult education program. She also taught at Brockton High School for several years. Connie loved to sing and was a member of Sweet Adelines International for many years. She also was a member of the a capella group 'Lifes a Pitch', a group of fun loving ladies.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 24th from 2-4 PM followed by a memorial service.
