Margaret R. Francoeur, 93, formerly of 108 Shore Drive died June 16, 2004 at the Belknap County Nursing Home following an extended period of ill health.
A resident of Laconia for most of her life, she was born in St. Jean Quebec on March 16, 1911, the daughter of William and Nellie (Friar) Ryan. She was a graduate of Laconia High School, class of 1929.
She was employed by the J. J. Morin Company and later joined her husband, George A. Francoeur in the operation of the former Francoeur & Keroack Plumbing & Heating Company.
Margaret was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia. Her husband George died March 8, 1987. They had enjoyed over fifty years of marriage.
She was the devoted mother of Mrs. Ronald (Beverly) Moulton of Gilford and is further survived by three grandsons, Stephen Moulton and Douglas Moulton, both of Gilford and Dennis Moulton and his wife, Maureen Gallagher, MD of Portsmouth NH; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by three brothers and a sister.
A calling hour was held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. on Monday from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral ceremony was held in the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Timothy C. Molan and David L. Furber were the funeral directors.
