Jimmie Jeanelle Dixon, 80, of Fitzgerald died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 20, at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mary Ida Timms officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Dixon was born March 31, 1932 in Colquitt County, Georgia to the late Cleveland and Mary Ellen Brown Dorminy. Living most of her life in the community, she was a former employee of Modern Fibers and Fitzgerald Underwear. A member of Holt Baptist Church, she enjoyed puzzles, reading, word searches and being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Gail Dixon of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Benjamin Corey Dixon of Fitzgerald and Kristen Lynn Dixon (Andrew) Roberts of Irwinville; one great grandchild and a sister, Lois Young of Brentwood, TN. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ben Dixon and a sister, Ruby Sheffield.
