John A. Snyder, 74

John A. Snyder, 74, recently of Attleboro, formerly of Florida and Norton, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Berkshire Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Providence.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on January 19, 1938, he was a loving son of the late John Snyder and the late Angelo, Sr. and Ida (Diussa) LaGreca.
John grew up and was educated in Norton. During the Korean Conflict he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged on March 6, 1959 with the rank of Airman First Class.
When younger, John owned his own speedboat and loved taking his family water skiing on the Norton Reservoir. These trips would always begin at the former Frates Dairy in Norton.
He enjoyed gardening and had traveled the United States by way of bus. One of his proudest accomplishments was bicycling from Norton to his nieces home in Burlington, Vermont. .
He is survived by his devoted children, Peggy Ann Snyder and Adam J. Snyder-Carine both of Florida. He was the beloved brother of Jill Desrosiers of Norton, Susan Desrosiers and her husband Bob of Norton, Trudy Westman and her husband Harry of North Attleboro and Angelo LaGreca, Jr. and his wife Brucene of Cumberland. He is also survived by several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the dear brother in law of the late Arthur Desrosiers and uncle of the late Kevin Desrosiers.
Private services will be held at the convenience of his family with burial will taking place at the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.
