Charles J. Leto, age 67 of Medford MA, died Thursday at home after a lengthy illness.Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Gandolfo and Jennie (Simole) Leto.
Mr. Leto was employed for over 40 years at Nueber Industrial Diamonds, Burlington, MA as a Diamond Cutter, before retiring in 2001. Mr. Leto was an Executive Director in ASA Softball for Metro Boston. He was also very active in umpiring for many years, and for all ages, 9-70. He worked many games in South Medford at Tufts Park where a field is named after him, Leto Field. Mr. Leto was a lifelong Medford resident.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Medford/Somerville at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
