Obituary

WESTON: MaryJane (Pond) Salate, 79, died on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House following a period of declining health.

She was born March 25, 1933 in Burke, New York the daughter of the late Alexander and Florence (Soulia) Pond.

She is survived by her son Lawrence E. Salate and his wife Beverly of West Boylston and her grandchildren Josh Flynt, Anna Salate and Edward Salate. She was the mother of the late Patricia A. Flynt and sister of the late Ann Marie Robideau, Lillian Rousseau, Richard Pond and Alexander Pond. She was the longtime companion of the late Arnold Korelitz.

MaryJane resided in Weston for over 18 years and previously resided in Framingham. She spent her formative years in Malone, New York and was a graduate of Malone High School. She was a talented and accomplished seamstress and designed and created wedding dresses and gowns in the Framingham and Weston area for many years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:00 o’clock at Linwood Cemetery, Route 20, Weston.

In lieu of her family suggests gifts in her memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 and would be appreciated.
