Obituary

Mary A. (Raspa) Dupuy, age 87, of Brockton, died peacefully November 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife for 52 years of the late Jules M. Dupuy and loving mother of Robert M. Dupuy of Brockton. A lifelong resident of Brockton, Mary was the daughter of the late Anthony and Clara (Oriola) Raspa. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1943 and for many years worked the counter at Fanny Farmer’s in downtown Brockton. While working downtown, she was given the honor of presenting a pair of shoes from “Shoe City” to President Harry Truman. She was a longtime communicant of St. Edward/St. Edith Stein Parish. Mary, in her quiet, unselfish way, cared for her family, friends and many others she came to know through the years.
In addition to her son Bob, Mary is survived by a brother Vincent “Jim” Raspa of Quincy, an uncle, Michael Oriola of Brockton, several loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many dear cousins.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9am for a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 10am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Mary’s name may be be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
