Simon, Grace Korzon, 90, lifelong resident of South Boston, died peacefully on November 11, 2012. Born in South Boston on 3/23/1922; only daughter of the late Peter Korzon and Grace Stokes of South Boston (who were born in Lithuania.) Beloved wife of the late Bron Simon, a World War II army veteran. Devoted mother of Brona G. Simon and and her partner Michael Friedland of Dorchester and Bron Scott Simon and his wife Laura of Medfield. Caring grandmother of Bron Alexander Simon and Scott Nicholas Simon. Cherished aunt of nephews Paul J. Simon of Arlington and Robert Simon of Hull. Interment services are private. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. She met her late husband while he was singing in a chorus performance. They married while he was a first lieutenant in the Army, on Long Island, N.Y., during WWII. She learned shorthand and became a secretary, working for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston, until her retirement. An avid reader, she had also worked at the South Boston Branch of the Boston Public Library. She loved people and was very active in local events and activities.
