Rita M. (Cronin) DiMinico, 84 of Medway, and a former Norfolk resident, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Christy T. DiMinico, who died in 1987.
Born in Boston, January 28, 1928 a daughter of the late Cornelius and Margaret (Murphy) Cronin, she was raised and educated in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. She retired from the Norfolk public school system, where she worked in the bakery department.
She was a member of the Medway Elder, enjoyed square dancing, line dancing, camping and card playing.
She is survived by 2 sons: Thomas C. of Milford, Chris T. of Chelmsford, 2 daughters, Dianne M. Ledford of Walpole, Janice M. Smith of Medway, a brother Eugene F. Cronin of Rockland, 2 sisters: Margaret Weber of Norfolk and Mary A. Silve of Franklin, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is also the sister of the late William Cronin, Dorothy Russo and Sr. Helen Bonner.
Relatives and friends are invited to her service Saturday Nov. 17th at 12 noon in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 AM until the service time. Internment is private.
