WEBSTER-Margaret T. (Cotter) Reynolds, 85, formerly of Sylvan Street, Worcester died Tuesday, June 15th in Oakwood Nursing Home. Her husband Thomas G. Reynolds died in 1988. She leaves a son, Thomas G. Reynolds of Sterling, 4 daughters, Sheila Brodeur of Palm City, FL, Marie Piergallini of Worcester, Paula Kodnovich of Stroudsburg, PA and Karen Gozdowski of Brookfield, a brother William Cotter of Millbury, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 3 brothers Jack, Robert and Paul Cotter and 3 sisters, Eleanor Oats, Marie Cotter and Elizabeth Guzman predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John and Theresa (Daly) Cotter. Mrs. Reynolds had been a waitress at the former Putnum and Thurston, Airport, and Coach and Six Restaurants, and later at the Franklin Manor. After raising her family, Margaret devoted 30 years of her life living with and caring for her sister Marie who was disabled during World War II. Later in life, Margaret was cared for by her sister Betty, who also assisted in the care of Marie. Betty died in 2002. Margaret was delighted with visits from her grandchildren and receiving family photos. She was never happier than when welcoming a new baby to the family.
Funeral services are private. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
