Therese C. (Joyal) Cifelli, age 90, of West Bridgewater, died peacefully November 11, 2012 at Southeast Rehabilitation following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife for 53 years of Albert Cifelli. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Adjuteur and Lorenzina (Brouillard) Joyal and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School. For many years, Therese was a hairdresser and had also been employed as a sales clerk at various jewelry stores including Grady Jewelers and General Merchandise in Brockton. She had been a longtime communicant of St. Ann’s Church and enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, travel, and dancing at the Canoe Club and Roseland Ballroom.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister Claire Desrosiers of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Efhren Joyal, Arsena Chasey, Armand Joyal, Gertrude Salvucci, Sr. Bibiane Joyal and Florence O’Connell.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 4-7pm. A funeral home service will be held Thursday at 10am followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
