Edward V. Brown, 86, of Medway, died November 12, 2012 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Timchalk) Brown who died in 2008.
Born in Harlem, NY on August 10, 1926, he was the son of the late John and Julia (von Freidrich) Brown.
Mr. Brown was a resident of Medway since 2006 and formerly resided in Bronx, New York.
Mr. Brown was an Army veteran of WWII.
Before his retirement, he worked at Invirex in Huntington, NY for many years retiring as vice-president.
A devoted Catholic, Mr. Brown was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Medway and was a longtime communicant of St. Benedict Church in the Bronx.
He is survived by two daughters Faye Reichel and her husband Phil of Alexandria, VA and Susan Segarra and her husband Jeffrey of Medway, a son Dr. John Brown and his wife Celeste of Baltimore, MD, seven grandchildren and a brother John Brown of Bayside Queens, NY.
He was predeceased by eight siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 16 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
Burial will take place in St. Raymond Cemetery in Bronx, New York.
