Herbert Melvin Sparks, Jr., 69, of Rebecca, Georgia died November 11, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday, Nobember 17, in the Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry, New Hampshire. Visitation will be before services at Peabody Funeral Home in Londonderry on Saturday morning.
Mr. Sparks was born September 23, 1943 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Herbert Melvin and Edna Bernice Wright Sparks. Mr. Sparks was a former resident of Merrimack, New Hampshire. He was a Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a former police officer in Waltham, Massachusetts and compound toner for the Nashua Corporation. Mr. Sparks was a former member of the American Legion. He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed the outdoors and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy “Dot” Sparks of Rebecca, Georgia; daughters: Kimberly & Roland Jacques of Bedford, New Hampshire; Lisa & Timothy Shutt of Brookline, New Hampshire; Cheryl Sparks & Timothy Omera of Candia, New Hampshire; son: Keith Sparks of Manchester, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; sisters: Virginia Cruz of Cape Coral, Florida and Terry & Rick Bilotta of Auburn, New Hampshire; brother: John & Lisa Sparks of Nashua, New Hampshire. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Timothy Sparks.
