Pasquale R. Guarino, a World War II combat Veteran, died Monday at the Winchester Hospital. He was 82.
Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late Raffaelle and the late Carmella (Pasquale) Guarino. Pat was an Army Combat Engineer during World War II and served from the beaches of Normandy through to Germany. After the war, Pat worked with the City of Medford at Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Guarino was a member of Medford VFW Post 1012, American Legion Post 45 and the Oder Of Sons Of Italy Lodge 1580, Winchester.Recently, Pat received his High School diploma. He had left school to serve his country during the war without graduating. Winchester High School issued his diploma last year.
He was the beloved husband of Jeanette (Agati) Guarino with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Ralph Guarino and his wife Janet of Dallas, TX, a loving grandfather to Laura and Amanda and a dear brother to Domenic Guarino, Beatrice Arria both of Winchester and the late Mary Visconti.
Friends may visit Wednesday from 2- 4 & 7 – 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford. A Funeral mass will be offered Thursday at 11 AM in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Medford. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
