Sally Jane (Carter) Cook, of Pembroke, formerly of Brockton, Hanson and Hanover, died Friday, November 9, 2012, at the age of 70, surrounded by family and close friends.
She was born in Brockton on October 16, 1942. Graduated from Whitman Hanson Regional High School in 1961, married the late James Burns Cook of Hanover in 1962. She was a Home Health Aide in many nursing and private homes in the area; she was also a homemaker to their two children.
Sally was a collector of bells and dolls, and loved to bird watch and used her green thumb to grow her plants and gardens.
She is survived by her two children, James W. Cook and Sally J. Cook MacAllister, her brother William, sisters Nancy, (twins) Lee and Lynne and her seven grandchildren Samantha, Nicole, Amanda, James Michael, Philip, Kirstie, Sarah Jean and many other loving family members and close friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 15th from 4-7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. service, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. There will be a private burial at Fern Hill in Hanson.
