Alvin McClelland, age 73, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. McClelland was born on December 22, 1938, in Hartsfield, GA to the late A.J. McClelland and Mary Evelyn Tillery McClelland.
Survivors include: two daughters: Debbie Reliford, of Douglas, GA and Tammy Sipriano, Balch Springs, TX, son: Timothy McClelland, of Douglas, GA, special friend: Nell Rogers and her children, Jimmy Rogers, Bo Rogers, Curt Rogers, Janice Warnell, Debbie Suber, Emma Biggers, Woodrow Rogers, three brothers: Wade McClelland, David McClelland, and Carl McClelland, all of Tifton, GA, two sisters: Patsy Goodroe and Geneva Romas, both of Tifton, GA, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son: Steven McClelland, brother, John McClelland, two sisters, Juanita Bryant and Lois Hobby.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11 :00 a.m. at West Ward Street Church of God with Rev. Britt Peavy and Rev. Nathan Greer officiating. Interment followed at Franklin Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
