WEST BRIDGEWATER - Richard J. Dumoulin, 66, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Halifax, died unexpectedly Friday, June 11, 2004 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was the husband of Shawn M. (Leana) Dumoulin.
Born in Sept. 14, 1937 in Taunton, he was the son of the late Alexander and Jennie (Seriva) Dumoulin.
Mr. Dumoulin was raised and educated in Taunton.
He had worked in maintenance for the banking industry the past 30 years.
Mr. Dumoulin was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was also in the Army reserves.
Mr. Dumoulin had lived in West Bridgewater for the past four years, coming from Halifax, where he resided for 20 years.
He was a member of the Standish Sportsman’s Club in East Bridgewater; the Prowler Auto Club and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Dumoulin of Florida; three sisters, Irene Fernandes of Taunton, Mary Ann Marvel of Berkley and Lorraine Rodier of Dighton; two brothers, Edward Dumoulin of Rhode Island and William Dumoulin of Plainville; his stepchildren, Kelly Medlin and Michael Fermin, both of Pennsylvania and Don Hill Jr. of West Bridgewater; an aunt, Lena Perrault of Taunton and many nieces and nephews. He was brother to the late Jeannette Darling.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, in Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
