NATICK: Margaret E. “Duchess” Connolly, age 102, a longtime Natick resident, died on Monday evening, November 5, 2012, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick.
Born, raised and educated in Wellesley, she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Theresa (Foote) Connolly. Margaret was employed as a bookkeeper with Clement Drug Store of Wellesley for over thirty years. She then worked in the same capacity with Duralectra of Natick, until she retired while in her 80s.
Duchess had moved with her family to Natick during the Second World War. In 1958, she purchased her own home that she was to share with her mother and sister, Catherine, until their deaths. A Communicant of both Saint Patrick’s and Saint Linus’ Churches, Margaret is most remembered as a loving and doting aunt of a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late John Connolly, Mary Beckwith, Catherine Connolly, Anne Tozier, and Jeremiah Connolly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, on Tuesday, Nov. 13th at 9:00a.m. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Arrangements are with John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
