Elouise Morgan Dimsdale, 86, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Irwin County at her daughter’s home.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M., Friday, November 9, 2012 in the Big Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne McCrimmon and the Rev. Ed Reeves officiating. A eulogy will be given by Ted Dimsdale. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Dimsdale was born September 6, 1926 in Dekalb County, Alabama to the late Thomas L. Morgan and Willie Green Hartline Morgan. She graduated from Mystic High School in 1945 and lived in the community all of her life. She was a homemaker and former co-owner and operator of Dimsdale’s Nursery in the Lands Crossing Community of Irwin County, Georgia. Mrs. Dimsdale was of the Baptist faith and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Irwinville, Georgia.
She is survived by her daughter: Marcia D. & Marcus Paulk of Ocilla, Georgia; son: Ted Dimsdale of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren: Peyton & Cliff Taylor, Dennis & Carrie Brantley, Jason & Melissa Brantley, Dana & Rusty Seaver, Lee Johnson, Chris & Dana Paulk and Anna Paulk & Rob Smith; nine great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild, a sister: Thelma Peavy of Acworth, Georgia. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Willie D. Dimsdale; daughter: Melba Jean Johnson and grandson: Marcus Paulk, Jr. and a great granddaughter: Sarah Rebecca Brantley.
