Ms. Julia Paras, age 85 of Arlington, died on Monday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the former wife of the late George J. Paras. Ms. Paras was born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Souhleni) Pantazopoulos. She is a graduate of the Cambridge school system. In earlier years she worked as a secretary for a manufacturing firm. She was a quiet and demure woman, yet nothing gave her more satisfaction than spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is the loving mother of Patricia Aloise of Arlington and her late husband Stephen. Grandmother of Nicholas Aloise and his wife Joanna of Wakefield, Adam Aloise of Everett and Marina Aloise of Arlington, Great Grandmother of Lena and Clara Aloise of Wakefield. Sister of Louis Pantos of CA. and the late Patricia Ribeiro, Helen Patsio, and Charles Pantos. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Athanasious Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Appleton Street Arlington on Friday Nov. 9 at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. At the request of the family, visiting hours have been omitted. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Julia's name may be sent to St. Athanasious Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Appleton St. Arlington MA. 02476.
