Carlo “Carlino” Caso died peacefully at his Medford home in the company of his loving family. He was 89. Born and raised in Passo di Mirabella, Avellino, Italy he was the son of the late Samuele and Maria (Moscaritolo) Caso.
Carlino and his family came to the United States and lived in Boston’s North End for several years before settling in Medford. Carlo worked at the former Schrafft’s Candy Factory for nearly 30 years as a machinist and mechanic who fixed the intricate candy making machines. A hardworking man, Carlino was devoted to his family and enjoyed the company of many friends.
The beloved husband for 67 years of Rachela Divina (DeSimone) Caso he was a devoted father to: Mary Zingariello of Melrose, Lena DiPrizio and her husband Louis of North Reading and Pena Forman of Stoneham. He was a loving “Papa” to Lisa D’Arcangelo and her husband David, Vincent Zingariello and his wife Monica, Jennifer DiPrizio, Danielle Pucillo and her husband Vincent, Lauren Marolda and her husband Matthew, Michael Forman, Marissa O’Leary and her husband Brian. He also leaves his loving great-grandchildren: Isabella, Carmine, Sofia, Joseph, Nicholas and is predeceased by his siblings: Giuseppe, Raffaele, Guirino, Elena Ciarcia and Giovannina DeSimone.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, November 9th from 4 thru 9 PM and again on Saturday morning at 10 followed by a funeral mass offered in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
