Elaine P. “Murph” (Murphy) Boukalis, 53, of Worcester, died, Sunday, November 4th in UMass Hospital surrounded by her loving family, after a second bout with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 11 years Charles Boukalis, her mother, Montene (Garrett) Murphy Bieber of Worcester; two step-daughters, Joanna E. Boukalis of Worcester and Stephanie E. Boukalis of California; her brother, Francis X. Murphy and his wife, Carol of Falmouth; and her sister, Maura Murphy of Boston. A brother Richard V. Murphy predeceased her.
She was born in Milton, her father was the late Francis X. Murphy, Esquire. Murph grew up in Westborough, and began working with her mother at the age of 12 at the family owned business, Central Answering Service. She had currently owned and operated the Corner Lunch Diner.
Her funeral is Friday, November 9th, with a service at 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, November 8th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
