Janice R. (Stolberg) Gilman, 71, of Winter Park, FL died on Friday, November 2nd in the Hospice of the Comforter after long illness.
Janice is survived by her husband, Dennis Gilman; 3 sons, Donald Fiore of Tampa, FL, John Fiore of Auburn, MA and Robert Fiore of Winter Springs, FL; 2 daughters, Joyce Swedberg of Worcester, MA and Jean McCarthy of Auburn, MA; 1 step son, Mark Gilman of Winter Springs, FL; 2 step daughters, Michelle Holmes of East Brookfield, MA and Pamela Ulcena of Florida; a brother, Richard Stolberg of Worcester, MA; 2 sisters, Patricia Stolberg of Worcester, MA and Gail L. Steele of Shrewsbury, MA; 23 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Gilman was born in Worcester, MA daughter of the late James and Jeannette (Desrosiers) Stolberg and is also predeceased by a brother James Stolberg who died in 2009. She worked for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for many years retiring in 2005.
Janice enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of the Winter Park, FL Lodge of Elks #1830.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
