Jeane M. (Laracy) Melanson, 73, of Franklin died November 3 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Gerald Melanson who died in 2005.
Born in Boston, April 12, 1939, the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Cullinane) Laracy, Mrs. Melanson was raised in Boston and had lived in Franklin since 1967.
She had been a bus driver for the W.T. Holmes Bus Company for 43 years.
Jeane loved to travel, especially her annual trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
She also loved to go to Cape Cod and all along the New England coastline.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Meleanson of Franklin, Gerard Melanson of Leominster and Laura Quinlan of Rhode Island. She was the mother of the late Joseph Melanson.
She is also survived by her six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 10 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin 131 Main Street in Franklin at 11:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at Noon.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
