Craig F. McDermott Sr., 51, of Franklin died Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Mercedes (Pirez) McDermott for 31 years.
Born in Boston on May 21, 1961, he was the son of Virginia (Demers) McDermott of Gilford, NH and the late Donald O. McDermott Sr.
Mr. McDermott grew up in the Hyde Park section of Boston and resided in Harvard until moving to Franklin in 2006.
He graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood and UMass Boston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems.
Mr. McDermott was a director at Keane, Inc in Boston for 5 years and was formerly the Chief Technology Officer at Systems Engineering Inc. in Waltham.
A very giving man, Craig was a loving father and husband and his family was most important to him.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three children, Crystal, Craig Jr. and Marc McDermott, all of Franklin and his brother Donald McDermott Jr. of Hingham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Wednesday, November 7 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square in Franklin at 10 a.m.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m.
