Obituary

COHOES, NEW YORK: Maryhelena Schomer, 60, died peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Saint Peters Hospital in Albany, NY following a period of declining health.
She was born in Natick on February 8, 1952 the daughter of the late Dr. John T. Schomer, Jr. and Mora Elizabeth (Terry) Schomer.
She is survived by her daughters Maria Schomer and Katherine Schomer both of Cohoes, New York. Sister of Sean Schomer and his wife Rosana both of Natick. Aunt of Alana Belk of Natick and one grand-nephew Aidan Punch of Natick.
Maryhelena has been a resident of Cohoes, NY for the past 33 years and previously resided in Natick. She was a graduate of Elizabeth Seton High School in Wellesley Hills and attended Northeastern University and achieved a BA. She began her career as a State Police Trooper for New York and was assigned as the Personal Driver and Detail Officer for the former Governor of New York Mario M. Cuomo. She has been associated for many years as the Senior Investigator for the New York State Police.

She loved to crochet, was an accomplished baker and enjoyed many arts and crafts as her hobby. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughters and her family.
Visitations will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd, (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 9:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Parish, 30 Centre Street, Dover.
Interment will follow in the Schomer family lot in Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in her memory may be sent to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Mendon, NY 12204.
