FRANKLIN—Norman P. Sacco 61, a longtime town resident, died Thursday November 1, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Julie A. (Hart) Sacco for more than 34 years.
Born in Norwood, March 27, 1951 a son of the late Dante and Mildred N. (Carlstrom) Sacco, he was raised and educated in Norwood, and was a graduate of Norwood High School, class of 1969. He also graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston, and East Coast AeroTech.
Mr. Sacco was employed as a supervisor and civil structural design engineer for the Dominion Corporation of Waterbury, Connecticut. He formerly worked as an engineer at New England Utilities and Stone & Webster Company in Boston, and at Wiggin Air in Norwood.
He loved Cape Cod and saltwater fishing. He was an avid model train buff, and enjoyed Thunderbird Air Shows. He was a Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, and faithfully attended the Eastern States Exposition every year since 1976, including this year’s outing.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Lauren N. Sacco and her longtime companion Keith Boyce of Millville, 2 brothers, Steven Sacco and his wife Carol of Hawaii, & Spencer Sacco of Middletown, Rhode Island and his granddaughter Shannon Joyce Sacco.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Monday Nov. 5th, from 2-6PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com.
His interment will be private.
