WEST BOYLSTON - Janet V. (Wieslander) Dellasanta, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, with her loving family around her in Saint Vincent Hospital after a sudden illness. She leaves her husband of 56 years, Louis J. Dellasanta, her daughter, Debra Dellasanta of West Boylston, her son, John Dellasanta and his wife Jean of Worcester, her son Steven Dellasanta and his wife Karen of Little Compton, RI, her brother John Wieslander and his wife Joan of Worcester, seven grandchildren, and nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Anna (Landin) Wieslander. Janet attended Gates Lane Elementary School, Woodland Prep, and graduated from South High School. Janet was a dedicated Sunday School teacher for many years at Bethany Congregational Church in Worcester and The First Congregational Church in West Boylston. She worked at the old Worcester Market, and was a clock inspector at Telechron. She loved to cook, sew and laugh, and especially loved her grandchildren. She always lifted others up with her beautiful smile. She was a loving, beautiful wife, mother and grandmother.
The funeral will be Saturday, November 3, 2012, with a service at 11 AM at Freedom Worship Center, 141 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. Calling hours will be held from 9-10:30 am at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, 26 Central Street, West Boylston MA 01583 or to Freedom Worship Center of West Boylston.
