Obituary

Paul E. Pettee, of Medford, died Tuesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 80.
A long-time Medford resident, Paul spent his early years in Somerville and was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Curran) Pettee. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After his return to civilian life he went to work as a custodian with Medford Public Schools and served at the former Davenport and Kennedy Schools. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Paul was a member of the Retired Men’s Club of Arlington.
The beloved husband of the late Mary J. (Meaney), Paul leaves his devoted children: Paul Pettee Jr and his wife Elaine of Phoenix, AZ, and Michelle Pettee Joslin and her husband Tim of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Abigail and Katherine and a dear brother to Patricia Callahan of NY and the late Joseph Pettee.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, November 3rd at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Friday 4 – 8.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Paul’s name to the M.S.P.C.A - Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
