Obituary

Lawrence V. “Mac” McNulty, 90, of Windham, NH died Sunday, Oct. 28th at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH following a prolonged illness.

Lawrence was born and educated in Haverhill, MA and graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1940. He was the son of the late Emily (Mitchell) and James McNulty. He was predeceased by his 4 sisters. Lawrence served in the US Navy during WW II. He worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 36 years, rising through the ranks from a sheet metal worker to shop manager in Shop 17, retiring in 1977. He previously lived in Salem NH, Atkinson, NH and Hobe Sound, FL. Mac loved to fish, hunt, travel and play cards, especially cribbage and 45’s. Known as the neighborhood handyman, he enjoyed helping others and was always generous with his time and talents.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Josephine (Orlando) McNulty of Windham, NH;
sons, James “Mike” McNulty and wife Diane of Haverhill, MA and
William McNulty and wife Deborah of Atkinson, NH;
daughters, Delores Kudera and husband Robert of Danville, NH and Patricia St. Vincent and husband Wayne of Kansas City, MO;
stepson, Russell Scott and wife Kathleen of Georgia,
stepdaughter, Geraldine and husband John Monnelly, Jr. of Manchester, NH
8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be Sat. Nov. 10th at 12 Noon at St. Matthews Church in Windham, NH. He will be interred at a later date at the State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the charity of one’s choice.
