Roy Earl Peterson, age 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Savannah, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Peterson was born on March 5, 1936, in Douglas, GA to the late Carlie and Carrie Cannon Peterson.
Survivors include: his wife: Opal Peterson, of Douglas, GA, two sons: John (Karen) Youngblood and Kenneth (Carolyn) Youngblood, both of Douglas, GA, one daughter: Lynn Peterson, of Douglas, GA, three brothers: Omer (Annie Ruth) Peterson, Eugene (Mauree) Peterson, and Bobbie (Ann) Peterson, all of Douglas, GA, two grandchildren: Brandon Earl (Jessica) Williams and Jimmy Shane Logue, two great grandchildren: Levi Roy Williams and Haley Williams.
Funeral Service were held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Southview Church of God with Rev. Leroy Spivey and Rev. Mike Peterson officiating. Interment followed at Calvary Full Gospel Tabernacle.
