WINDHAM, NH – Fernande Therrien. (Hemond) Stephenson, 95 of Windham, NH, passed away on Friday October 26, 2012 at the Windham Terrace in Windham, NH.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Oliva and Robertine Girouard Hemond and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. For many years she was employed as a keypunch operator at Western Electric, formerly located in North Andover, MA.
Her lifelong passion, however, was sales and meeting people. She excelled at everything she sold and took great pride in her numerous awards and the wonderful friends she made along the way. Fern will be remembered as someone who loved life and lived it to the fullest extent possible. Her will to live was something to be admired.
Fernande was the widow of John H. Stephenson, who passed away in May of 2011. She is survived by her children, Richard Therrien and his wife Suzuko of Methuen, MA, Russell Therrien and his wife Marie of Methuen, MA, Paul Therrien and his wife Joanne of Chelmsford, MA, Elaine Findley of Northampton, MA and George Therrien and his wife Laura of Palm Harbor, FL.
Fernande is also survived by her sister Estelle Harris of Poulsbo, WA.
11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Fernande was predeceased by three previous husbands, Alfred Therrien, Harry Lovering and Henry Cote, five brothers and sisters.
ARRANGMENTS: Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01710 Family and friends are planning to honor Fernande’s life with visiting hours to be held on Friday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen,MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA.
