Charles Edward Denton, 86, of Palmyra, TN, died on Monday, October 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 12, 1926 in Knoxville, TN to the late John Denton and Elizabeth Gibson Denton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Denton.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ted Denny officiating.
Charles retired from the Clarksville Fire Department after 23 years of dedicated service. He was an U.S. Army Veteran having served in WWII.
He is survived by two sons, Chuck (Dottie) Denton and Keith (Tammy) Denton of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Judy (Lance) Rose and Patricia (Ted) Denny of Clarksville, TN; thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
