Obituary

CHICOPEE – Catherine M. “Kate” (Twardzik) Beaudreault, 96, a longtime resident of McKinstry Avenue in the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, October 27, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at Willimansett Center East in Chicopee surrounded by the comfort of her loving caregivers. She was born at home in Chicopee Falls on October 22, 1916, a beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Marya (Balon) Twardzik. She was raised in Chicopee, was a lifelong resident of the city and moved to the Aldenville section of the city in the 1940’s. She was a member of the Aldenville Senior Center and was a faithful communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leo J. Beaudreault, who was Called Home on February 24, 1979. She leaves: her loving sister, Jane M. Geoffroy and her husband, Clarence Phinney, Jr., of St. Petersburg, FL; her dear nephew, Thomas A. Geoffroy and his wife, Rosalie, of Union Grove, AL; her dear grandniece, Barbara Frost and her husband, Robert, and their children, Grace, Aaron and Stella Frost; and her dear grandnephew, Thomas Geoffroy and his wife, Lee. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by: her three brothers, John, Joseph and Walter Twardzik; and her dear niece, Jane C. Geoffroy. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning, November 1, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee. MA 01020. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
