Ms. Ana M. Pires 27, of Malden died Thursday at her home following a sudden illness. Ms. Pires was born in Cambridge, the daughter of Vence Pires of Malden and the late Silene Marie (Hinsman) Pires, stepdaughter of Helene Pires of Malden. Loving granddaughter of Maria and Juvinal Pires of Somerville and the late Esther Hinsman. Ana worked as a Health Care Provider for children. She had an affinity for special needs children. Ana was a vibrant woman who developed strong and lasting friendships with many through the years. She was a very family minded person who maintained strong ties to her own, and extended family members. She was quite proud of her heritage and the Pires family name. She is survived by one daughter: Silene M. Olivera of Malden, a brother Vence Pires and his companion Lisa Denton of Peabody, two sisters: Leah Pires of Medford and Liliana Pires of Malden. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as several aunts and uncles. Friends may call Thursday from 4 through 8 p.m. at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, Friday at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
