Obituary

Margaret M. “Peg” (Kelleher) Sheehan of Kingston, formerly of Stoughton, Halifax, Canton and Plymouth passed away on Friday October 26, 2012 in Kingston surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old and the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Sheehan Sr. She is survived by her 4 loving children, Edward W. Sheehan Jr. and his wife Debby of Chatham, Donna M. O’Loughlin and her husband Thomas of Mashpee, Elaine C. DiBiasio and her husband Vincent of Middleboro and Peggy Boskey and her husband Dr. Hillard Boskey of Yarmouthport. She was the cherished “NANA” to 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her 2 brothers Donald R. Kelleher and his wife Rose of Canton, Richard Kelleher and his wife Mary of Oceanside, California, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Margaret was also a sister to the late Frederick J. Kelleher, Rita A. Klim and Marie T. Winchester.

Born at home on November 7, 1916 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, Margaret was a daughter to the late Daniel and Gertrude (Willis) Kelleher. She attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a dedicated housewife and mother.
Peg was employed in the food service industry at Stonehill College in Easton for many years. She was a former communicant and member of the Ladies Sodality at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting and ceramics. She also enjoyed and cherished the many family functions and time spent with her son, daughters and extended family members.

“NANA” as she was also affectionately known will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Peg's family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Cranberry Hospice and all the staff at Wingate at Silver Lake of Kingston, especially the loving care and concern she received on Oakwood Lane.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 2, 2012 from 3 – 7 PM in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Her funeral will be held on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 9:30 AM from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of her soul at 11 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, ( Rt. 27 ) Stoughton. The Pastor Rev. Joseph P. McDermott, officiating. All are welcome to attend. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite # 326, Plymouth,MA 02360 in Margaret’s memory would be appreciated.
