Mrs. Joanna (Amora) Ducharme, of Taunton, died Saturday, October 27 in Morton Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Wilfred Ducharme. She was born 79 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Pryga) Chmura. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Mrs. Ducharme was a homemaker. She enjoyed polka dancing, Polish music, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 son: Matthew Ducharme of Taunton; 1 daughter: Marcia Niland and her husband, James of Norfolk; 1 sister: Edna Kulpa of Taunton; 2 grandchildren: Luke and Kara Niland, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Bzdula, Bridget Amora, Stanley Amora, Helen Guliy, Cecilia Cichon and John Amora.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, November 2 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
