Irene J. (Couture) Sullivan, 76, of Manchester, died October 26, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester on February 26, 1936, the daughter of Arthur and Bernice (Cushing) Couture. She was educated in the local schools and graduated from Central High School.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a secretary for Sanders (now BAE) for over 30 years.
Irene loved to watch birds, especially in her later years. She also enjoyed dancing, spending time at the beach and collecting willow tree angels. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her time spent with her great-grandchildren.
Members of her family include her daughters, Debra Price and her husband Hal of Hooksett, and Patti Houston and longtime companion Ron Girolimon of Manchester; her beloved grandchildren, Lisa Ostrouch of NY, Leia Marcellino and husband Scott of Manchester, Joshua Ostrouch and wife Melinda of NY, Lee Houston and wife Renee of Hooksett, Jamie Scott of Manchester; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Alden Couture and wife Sylvia of Candia; her sisters Claire Puglisi and husband Joe of NH, Deanna Sweet and husband Dan of NC; nephews, nieces, cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Edward Couture.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Monday and Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
