PERRY, SR., Norris Scott, 71, of Louisville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012.
He was a truck driver who recently retired from Conway Central Express. Capping his 49 years of driving over the road, he ended with driving his own business. He was a deacon at his church, Elk Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and he sang with the Sweet Harmony Gospel Group as well as Joyful Noise.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Selma Christine (Moore)Perry; a brother, a sister and 3 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Sarah (White) Perry; 7 children, 2 siblings and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His service will be 11am Friday at First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown, 10600 Watterson Trail, Jeffersontown, KY 40299 with burial in Simpson Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9pm Thursday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown , 9318 Taylorsville Road.
