Obituary

Lamar A. Bradley, 83, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Sonny Pate, the Rev. Jerry Wilson, and the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Bradley was born September 22, 1929, in Macon County, North Carolina to the late Grady & Callie Cabe Bradley. He was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, NC and a Korean veteran of the United States Army. A former plant supervisor for Burlington Mills in Franklin, Mr. Bradley moved to Irwinville in 1969 where he was a retired farmer and a former employee of Pinkerton Security. He was a former member of Irwinville Baptist Church where he served as a song leader and Sunday school teacher and was a deacon. He was currently a member of First Baptist Church, Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his wife: Glee Burch Bradley of Fitzgerald; two sons: Jeffery Bradley & April Kelly of Moultrie and Bart & Gail Bradley of Irwinville; step-son: Stacy Wells of Screven; grandchildren: Jason Bradley, Bethany Bradley, Blaize Bradley, Chloe Wells, and Bailey Wells; and a great-grandson: Hayes Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
