Edward S. Margarida, age 90 of Westport, passed away on Oct. 19, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Angelina (Medeiros) Margarida for 70 years, and the son of the late Joseph S. & Maria (Cabral) Margarida. Prior to retiring, Edward worked for Roth Textile Mfg. as a Textile Artist. He was the owner of Edmar Photography & Lab, where he was a pioneer in photography, having covered many weddings & proms. He also went door to door taking baby pictures. He loved to go dancing with his wife. Edward was a loving, devoted husband and father. He will be missed by everyone he touched.
Besides his wife of Westport, he is survived by his two daughters: Carolyn Benn (husband Al) & Janice Fiedler (husband John) all of Westport; grandchildren: Mark Purcell (wife Lisa), Erin Fiedler Parisee (husband Keith), & Ryan Edward Fiedler; great grandchildren: Amanda, Adam, & Brody; several nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph, John, Manuel, James Margarida, Everett Barboza, Albertina Amaral, Aldina Mello, Lucy Dias, and Diana Ingenito.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on TUESDAY at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hour on MONDAY from 5-8 P.M.
