Jack Edward Savage
March 22, 1928 to October 18, 2012

Jack Edward Savage, 84, of Anderson died at St. John's Hospital October 18, 2012 after an extended illness.

He was born March 22, 1928 in Anderson to Raymond Revere and Charlotte M. (Blades) Savage.

He was a barber 11 years from 1955 to 1966; plant protection at Delco Remy from 1966 - 1992 before retiring in 1992.

He attended the Anderson Church of the Brethren. He served in the United States Navy and Airforce.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Colts and Pacers, attending Anderson High School basketball games, playing card games with family and friends and taking time to help his friends in need member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years Paula Joyce (Perry) Savage; son Jeffery Allen Savage and daughter, Nancy Kay Savage, daughter-in-law, Diane Savage and sister-in-law, Jo Savage; 5 grandchildren Sheree Estell Savage, Austin Raymond Savage; Nathaniel Savage-Rock, Zoe Grace Rock, Dustin Nunley; great grandson Ayden Ray Savage and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beatrice Savage died as a baby and a brother Walter Savage.

Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with John Wrightsman officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Anderson Church of the Brethren.
