ROGER L. “PAW” BOONE, 66, passed away October 17, 2012.
Roger retired from UPS as a driver after 32 years of service and also retired from Jefferson County Board of Education as a Nutrition Services Driver after 6 years. He was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kay Boone; son Jason Boone; daughter Ashley Givens (Jamie); three wonderful grandsons, C.J., Blake and Logan; his mother, Mary Catherine Ferguson; and sister, Sherry Smith.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Myeloma Institute in Little Rock, AR., Dr. R. Kosfeld, Dr. K. Paris, all the staff at Louisville Oncology 3rd floor infusion, and Hosparus for their care and support. The family also wishes to thank the “Celebration Gang” and all friends and family for their support and love during this journey.
