Helen M. (Testa) LaVita, 84 of Somerville died Monday after a brief illness in the Mt. Auburn Hospital Cambridge, MA.
Born in Boston, she formerly lived in the North Ene of Boston and has lived in Somerville for the past 50 years and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Capone) Testa. Mrs. LaVita was a homemaker in her own home.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Testa. Devoted mother of Charlotte Fraser of Stoneham, and Dennis LaVita of Somerville. Also survived by 6 loving grandchildren, 10 loving great grandchildren and 1 loving great great grandson. Sister of Gloria Rossetti, Phil Testa both of Medford, Jean Boccuzzi of Wilmington, and the late Alfred and Albert Testa.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford Street, Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
