Clarice Muirhead Campbell, age 85, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born July 14, 1927 in Vaiden, MS to the late Robert and Clara Muirhead. Clarice was a homemaker, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the First Baptist Church of Coffeeville, MS. She loved doing volunteer work and helping her friends and others. Clarice was an amazing mother and loved all her children and grandchildren dearly.
Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Dr. Thad Moore and Bro. Truman Scarborough officiating. Josh Campbell, John Grady Kyle, Michael Gatlin, Rob Forrest, Jonathan Harris, David James, Mac Burns and Scott Campbell will serve as pallbearers. Michael Campbell and Peyton Kyle will serve as honorary pallbearers.
She is survived by three daughters, Annice Kyle of Southaven, MS, Sheila Pinnix (David James-fiance) of Olive Branch, MS and Harriett Cox of Arlington, TX; two sons, Ronney Campbell and Troy Campbell (Kristy) both of Coffeeville, MS; a sister, Elsie Muirhead of AR; a brother, R. C. Muirhead of Sidon, MS; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Campbell; her daughter, Lisa Ann Campbell; and her son, Gary Campbell.
