Ann (DiNunno) Morgan age 95, of Pocasset formerly of Brockton, died Sunday October 14, 2012 at the Royal Megansett Nursing & Retirement Center in Falmouth. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Morgan. Ann was born and educated in Brockton a daughter of the late Vincent and Lucia (Liuzzi) DiNunno. She had lived in Brockton for most of her life until moving to Pocasset 10 years ago.
Ann had worked in the cafeteria at Brockton High School for several years and previously was a sales clerk at the Gilchrist Department Store. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting. She was an accomplished quilter who learned the craft in her later years and handmade quilts for all her family members. Ann’s true joy in her life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the devoted mother of Kenneth Morgan and his wife Anna of Cataumet, Sandra Barry and her husband Joseph of East Harwich, the late Judith Lofstrom and her husband Ray of N. Falmouth, and Donna Simmons and her late husband Gil of Deerfield Beach, Florida. She was the grandmother of Bret Morgan, Kimberly Rodriguez-Morgan, Joseph Barry,Jr., Michael and Christopher Barry, Ken Lofstrom, Heidi Howes, Ray Lofstrom III, Alan Simmons, and the late Ted Alger. She was the sister of the late Vincent, Frank, Mike and Joe DiNunno and Sally Wallent.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-7 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church 439 West St. Brockton at 11 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Ann’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
